DEMO Version Presentation
Check out how the DEMO Version of Personal Pianist
works by viewing the screenshots provided below.

1. After Installation : open Personal Pianist
This is what you'll see when you first open your DEMO Version of Personal Pianist.

2. Get Started With SETUP
First, you should click on SETUP to make sure your MIDI player is correct and that your preferred language is chosen. You can also check for updates of Personal Pianist by clicking on the ‘Check For Updates’ button.

3. Choose Your Language
Click on the Language Drop Down Menu to choose your preferred language.
Currently, Personal Pianist is only supported for English, German, French, Japanese and Spanish.

4. Add Your DEMO Library
Please select DEMO libraries you are interested in from our RESOURCES page, under ‘Demo Libraries’. The latest updated DEMO libraries will be found on that page. Save the desired files to your computer in a folder of your choice.

Click on the ADD FILE button to add your DEMO Library to your Personal Pianist.
We recommend that you upload only one (1) library at a time. Choose from the menu to select your library and ‘Voila!’ You're ready to get started with Personal Pianist!

5. Loaded Library Example : Sample Cello C
Here's how Personal Pianist looks with a loaded DEMO Library, in this case, Sample Cello C. Notice how the first song is already selected. Use ‘Page Up’ and ‘Page Down’ keys or ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ arrows to select your song.

6. Tune Your Instrument
Personal Pianist is equipped with its own "A440 Tuning Key", located at the interface keyboard, exactly where you'd find it on your own piano. Just click on the blue key and you'll hear tuning 'A' (440Hz) three (3) times. You can use this key at any time during your practice and repeat as many times as you want to check your tuning.

7. INFORMATION Button
The INFORMATION button provides some general information about Personal Pianist, Keyboard Shortcuts, Website Link and a direct link to Online Help.

8. Change Tempo Using Tempo Slider
Use the Tempo Slider to adjust the tempo of your piece. Just click on the button and drag it to your desired practice tempo. Alternatively, you can click / or click-and-hold on the RABBIT (speed up) and TURTLE (slow down) to change the tempo, or use the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ arrow keys to the same effect. Hit the ‘Reset Tempo’ button to return to the default tempo.

9. Choose Your Starting Position
You can begin at a specific measure number by simply sliding the Bar Position Slider. Just click on the button and drag it to your desired starting point. Similarly, you can use the ‘Left’ (rewind) and ‘Right’ (fast forward) arrow keys. Restart from the same point over and over by hitting the ‘Enter’ or ‘Backspace’ key only once. Hitting it twice will return you to the beginning of the piece. Hit it a third time and you'll return to your previous starting point.

10. Choose Another Instrument for MIDI Playback
You can choose to play with any and all of your computer's MIDI Playback Instruments. Just click on the drop down menu on the top of your Personal Pianist interface to see the list of instruments.

11. REGISTER your copy of Personal Pianist
Once you've thoroughly tested Personal Pianist using the DEMO Libraries provided with the program, you'll be ready to go ahead and register your copy of Personal Pianist to get FREE ACCESS to all of the Tools and Resources provided.

Your generous support, through registration, helps us keep the program and website up to date, as well as cover the hundreds of hours needed to create piano libraries, scale libraries, Ear-Training tests, and further expand the FREE Resources available here. The small registration fee - we hope you'll agree - is worth its price many times over, when compared with the hundreds of dollars - mainly for rehearsal with accompanists PLUS driving time and travel costs - we often spend in preparation for concerts and exams.

Click on ‘Registration’ to begin the process. You'll be directed to the Purchase Page, where a new, time-sensitive registration key will be created for you. Enter your personalized key into the space provided and click on ‘Register’. That's it!
