How does Personal Pianist work? Basically, Personal Pianist plays the piano part for you so that you can practice your solo part at different speeds. A very important feature of Personal Pianist is that the piano parts "played" by Personal Pianist are already "personalized", meaning there are musical rubati - tempo changes - already built into the part. You will have the feeling of playing with a real pianist and not just a MIDI file. How do I use Personal Pianist? First, you'll need to download the music library that you are currently working on and load it into your Personal Pianist. Then you simply select your piece and press play! If you're not yet ready for the set tempo, you can simply slow the tempo down and work at your own pace. Gradually, you can work your way up to the goal tempo or even past it, depending on your ambition level! Do I need any special hardware or speakers? You will not need any extra hardware to run Personal Pianist, but we do recommend that you use external speakers for the best sound and results. Normal laptop or desktop speakers are simply not strong enough. External speakers can be purchased at your local computer store, but do make sure to buy the ones with its own power supply, not USB. Can I use Personal Pianist for performance? We are very proud that Personal Pianist does sound like a real pianist, but it is always best to play a recital or concert with a professional accompanist. If you cannot afford to hire a professional accompanist and want to use Personal Pianist for a LIVE public or private performance, let us know! We'd love to hear it! Just make sure you've got some pretty good loudspeakers on stage!
